If we consider the alley as a border chronotope, neither a home nor a city, but a stage of repeated and unexpected encounters, which, like any other border, does not conform to internal rules, then what do we face?
Event; the moment of "becoming," stepping out of the cliché rails and unveiling something new that calls human senses to itself. In our belief, the name shapes the named, just as 'Kooche' has come to embody the characteristics of an alley. A magazine that serves as a passageway for the audience through various spaces, spaces that we have repeatedly seen, but critical confrontation with them from the perspective of "becoming" makes it possible to create a home, street, and another city in their rigid structure.
Our design of the alley begins with this introduction because we are the creators of content form. The central point of this form is located at the border between the "Kooche" and the city, a cube whose glass walls, like fragile borders, simultaneously separate and connect, enabling dialogue between and within both spaces. This dialogue manifests in the opening between the editor's office and the editorial department, the windows of punched sheets, and the placement of linear lights along the main axes around the "Kooche."
The lights are another cornerstone of this form. Utilizing courtyard lamps indoors and moving bright spots in the central lighting, reminiscent of the movement of cars in urban streets, leads to a disassociation from the interior space and creates a backdrop for imaginative and contemplative thinking beyond boundaries.
The sum of the mentioned details fulfills an overall vision aimed at achieving interaction between the "Kooche" and the contemporary architectural framework. Because architecture is not accomplished solely through details but rather through the entirety of its elements.
