The difference in the orientation of the site and the surrounding landscapes led to the formation of the initial design of the "Too Dar Too" Project, where two volumes are merged at different angles. On the ground floor, the building is oriented towards the site entrance, while on the upper floors, the rotation of the volumes creates frames that open up to the surrounding landscape. Additionally, the protruding volumes provide shading and create covered corridors at the ground level. Furthermore, to better connect the front and rear areas of the building, which are two open spaces with different functions, a hollow corridor-like space was carved out of the volume at the ground level.
Additionally, to enhance the clarity of spatial connections, the building's horizontal and vertical circulation was integrated with visual connections through openings. A wall with a different color patch was added as an accent element to emphasize this.
Another concern was creating variety in the smaller spaces, ensuring that each space had its own unique character. This included designing covered or open balconies, creating bedrooms with distinct features and views, and adding a jacuzzi and a game room on the rooftop level.
The separation of the final volumes using black and white not only emphasizes the different functions of the building but also evokes the concept of the Chinese Yin and Yang, which highlights the coexistence of opposites. In our view, this represents the building's sustainability through winter and summer, night and day, shade and sunlight, and cold and warmth.
